While reaching close to 946.502 admissions, the record-breaking Danish animation CHECKERED NINJA was also an award winner! in 2019 it won three Robert statuettes – Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Song and Best Children & Youth Film – at the Danish equivalent to the Oscars, the Robert Awards.
